Research Seminar Series 2009: Access and Success for All

In 2009, 19 Research Seminars were funded by the Higher Education Academy and delivered in UK Higher Education Institutions, and Further Education Colleges delivering Higher Education, to promote access and success for all students.

This second series, offered by the Academy in association with Action on Access and Equality Challenge Unit, aims to promote research and evidence that has informed institutional policy and/or practice to address the diversity agenda and support success for all students.

To share their research and learning to the sector, the host institutions below have produced a briefing paper that summarises the key issues presented at the seminar, including the implications of research for practice on a range of widening participation, student retention, and equality and diversity topics.  The briefing papers can be used as case studies in which institutions used and evidence/research-informed approach in shaping policies and practices.
