Open call: Arts for Intercultural Dialogue toolkit

Date posted: 25/04/2010

British Council funding is being used to develop a toolkit which will demonstrate and promote the use of the arts, including film and new technologies, to facilitate intercultural dialogue.

In order to benefit from a range of expertise, contributions are sought not only from arts practitioners but also from people who have a research interest in the area of intercultural communication.

The researchers are primarily seeking contributions from arts organisations and practitioners who have experience using the arts in intercultural dialogue. Each contributor will be required to produce examples of inventive games and creative activities using their chosen art form that can be employed to inspire cultural dialogue. A list of recommended resources for each art form will also be required to provide readers with further guidance on how to implement projects and nurture best practice.

If you would like to become involved in this project as a contributor, or if you would like to hear more about the background to the project, please contact Dr Munro, Head of Learning, Glasgow Film Theatre:
