Digital Reflection: Using digital technologies to enhance and embed creative processes
Alec Clegg Studio, Stage@leeds, University of Leeds
4 July 2011

Call for Contributions, deadline for proposals: 3 May 2011.

PALATINE, supported by the ADM-HEA, are looking for contributors from both the performing and the visual arts disciplines to share reflective case studies of their teaching and learning practice, in which they have used digital reflective mechanisms to help students engage in creative forms of reflection upon creative practice (their own, or others). We are looking for two types of contribution, and invite you to put forward a proposal for either, or both:

(i) A presentation of around 20 minutes (with time afterwards for questions);
(ii) A stall and mini-presentation (of around 5 minutes) and subsequent discussion to share a practical demonstration or example of your practice with a small group. This may be repeated up to three times.

If you are interested in contributing, please submit an abstract of up to 300 words. Please make clear the type of digital reflective mechanism you have been using, and how you feel it has facilitated students’ creative reflection. Please send your proposal to Ralph Brown at PALATINE ralph.brown@lancaster.ac.uk.

A flyer is available at: http://www.palatine.ac.uk/files/digital.pdf.
