Enhancing learning and teaching through the use of technology for Assessment and Feedback

Murray Building 58, University of Southampton, England, SO17 1BJ
10 November 2010 10:30-15:30

This event is part of the Higher Education Academy's Evidence-based Practice Syntheses

The seminar will present the findings of a project commissioned by The Higher Education Academy to provide a synthesis of evidence-based practice in the use of technology to enhance assessment and feedback. The Synthesis Report on Assessment and Feedback with Technology Enhancement (SRAFTE) project consulted practitioners about good practice and the literature they found most helpful when employing technology to enhance assessment and feedback. The report synthesizes the key points from these sources and from discussions at the associated seminar series (

The Academy has commissioned another two synthesis reports which focus on the effective use of technology to enhance Professional Learning and Teaching Practice and Employability and Employee Learning. The findings of all three reports will be presented at the seminar.

The events in this series are an opportunity to:

  • Find out about the effective use of learning technology for different learning and teaching contexts in each of the three areas;
  • Engage with, and contribute to, the growing ELT evidence base;
  • Consider the implications for future practice and research in the use of technology to enhance the student learning experience.

Who should attend: The events will be of particular interest to teaching staff, learning technologists, colleagues with learning and teaching support roles and managers working in any of the three areas.
